SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE DEDICATED TO COSMONAUTICS DAY ![]() On April 11, 2025, a scientific conference dedicated to Cosmonautics Day was held at the Faculty of Physics of the Tajik State Pedagogical University named after Sadriddin Aini.
The conference was opened with a welcoming speech by the Deputy Dean for Research, Mr. Salomzoda M., who emphasized that since April 12, 1961, this date has been celebrated worldwide as an important occasion — Cosmonautics Day. Sixty-four years ago, on this day, Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin completed the first orbital flight around Earth aboard the spacecraft Vostok, marking the beginning of the human spaceflight era.
Several students gave insightful presentations:
- Sabrina Davlatzoda, a first-year student of the Physics and Mathematics program, presented on “International Day of Human Space Flight”;
- Hasan Islomov, a first-year student of Physics and Astronomy, spoke on “April 12 - Cosmonautics Day”;
-Parichehra Nazirova, a first-year student in the Physics-Astronomy program, presented “The Conquest of Space: From Myth to Reality”;
- Dilafruz Umurzuqova, also a first-year student in Physics and Mathematics, spoke on “Cosmonautics Day at the ‘Quantum’ Club”;
- Sitora Sa’dulloyeva, a third-year Physics and Astronomy student, gave a talk on “In 2026, Cosmonauts Will Take Plants to the Moon”;
- Qurbon Ergashov, another third-year student in the same major, presented “Hungarian Equipment Protects Cosmonauts on the International Space Station”;
- and Aziza Khaliqova, also a third-year student, discussed “The Life and Legacy of Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin.”
Faculty members also shared thoughts on the history of space exploration and the contribution of Tajik scientists to this field. The conference concluded with the awarding of certificates of recognition to the most active participants.
