NEW PUBLICATION “DICTIONARY OF HOMOGENEOUS WORDS OF THE SOUTHERN DIALECT OF THE TAJIK LANGUAGE” 
In order to implement the instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, esteemed Emomali Rahmon, regarding the collection and study of words and terms of Tajik dialects, a new scientific-research book titled “Dictionary of Homogeneous Words of the Southern Dialect of the Tajik Language” was prepared and published by researchers S. Rahmatullozoda and R. Kholnazarion.
In speeches and normative documents, including the “State Language Development Program for 2020–2030”, special attention is given to the study and preservation of the lexical treasure of Tajik dialects. In this context, the creation of this dictionary is considered an important initiative in the study of Tajik dialects.
The mentioned dictionary includes more than 2,300 homogeneous words of the southern dialect of the Tajik language and serves as a valuable scientific source for
linguists, teachers, students, and all language enthusiasts. In the preface, the authors emphasize that although many works and articles have been published on the dialects of the Tajik language, a comprehensive study has not yet been completed and requires new research.
In the book, homogeneous words are presented as units that are similar in pronunciation and structure but have different meanings, playing an important role in the richness of speech and expression of ideas. The authors analyzed the origins and development of such words in the literary language and local dialects.
Currently, the book “Dictionary of Homogeneous Words of the Southern Dialect of the Tajik Language” is available at the National Library of Tajikistan, and readers can use it for scientific and educational purposes.
