CONFERENCE: THE ROLE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF TAJIKISTAN IN THE VICTORY OVER FASCISM
On May 6, 2026, a scientific and theoretical conference titled “The Role of Representatives of Tajikistan in the Victory over Fascism” was held at the Tajik State Pedagogical University named after Sadriddin Ayni.
The event was attended by guests from the Institute of History, Archaeology and Ethnography named after Ahmad Donish, the
Tajik National University, and the Higher School of the State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as the university administration, faculty members, and students.
The conference was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of History and Law, Candidate of Political Sciences, Professor M. Karimzoda. The opening remarks were then delivered by the First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Nahtullo Aynullozoda. In his speech, he noted that the Great Patriotic War is one of the most tragic and at the same time heroic pages in the history of the 20th century. During this war, the peoples of the Soviet Union fought against fascism to defend their homeland, freedom, and human dignity. Although Tajikistan was far from the front line, it made a significant contribution to this great victory. Representatives of Tajikistan — soldiers and officers, doctors, workers, and farmers — showed courage and resilience in this struggle, forever inscribing their names in history.
The conference continued with presentations on the following topics: “The Contribution of Tajikistan’s People to the Victory over Fascism,” “The Heroism of Tajik Workers during the Great Patriotic War,” “No One Is Forgotten, Nothing Is Forgotten,” and “The Heroism of Tajiks in the Great Patriotic War.”
