A training seminar was held at Tajik State Pedagogical University named after Sadriddin Ayni with the participation of representatives of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The seminar was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Higher Attestation Commission, Sharifzoda Mumin Mashokir; Adviser to the Chairman of the Commission, Mirzoev Ashurali Kenjaevich; Head of the Department for Attestation in Humanities and Candidate of Philological Sciences, Valizoda Hokimkhon Safoliyon; Head of the Information and Scientific Journals Sector of the Commission, Sharifzoda Durandesh Alisher; as well as members of dissertation councils, scholars and researchers, heads of scientific departments, and other responsible officials.

The seminar was opened by the First Vice-Rector and Vice-Rector for Research of the university, Candidate of Historical Sciences and Associate Professor Aynullozoda Nahtullo Aynullo, who emphasized the importance of such scientific events for improving the quality of dissertation research and enhancing the development of peer-reviewed scientific journals.

In his speech, the Deputy Chairman of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sharifzoda Mumin Mashokir, stressed that the science-oriented policy pursued by the country’s leadership has created favorable conditions for the development of science and education, as well as for strengthening the intellectual potential of society.

During the seminar, an open discussion and productive question-and-answer session took place between representatives of the Higher Attestation Commission, members of dissertation councils, and heads of the university’s scientific structures. Participants exchanged views on pressing issues related to scientific attestation, including the new procedures for dissertation defense, improving the quality of peer reviews, and the specifics of publishing scientific articles.

Sharifzoda Durandesh Alisher, Head of the Information and Scientific Journals Sector of the Commission, also addressed issues related to the digitalization of scientific activities, the use of electronic information systems, publication procedures in peer-reviewed journals, and the integration of national scientific journals into international indexing databases.

Overall, the seminar was highly appreciated by the academic community and university researchers. Participants received useful methodological recommendations and clear answers to the questions raised. This initiative may serve as an important step toward advancing the university’s scientific activities to a new stage of development.
