Tajik State Pedagogical University named after Sadriddin Ayni informs applicants and doctoral students that the Dissertation Council 6D.KOA-127 has officially commenced its activities for awarding the academic degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the specialty 6D060900 – Geography, including the following fields:

6D060901 – Physical Geography and Biogeography, Soil Geography, and Landscape Geochemistry;

6D060902 – Recreational, Tourism, Social, and Political Geography.

The Council is also authorized to award the degree of Candidate of Geographical Sciences in the specialty:

1.6. Earth Sciences and Environment

1.6.1 – Physical Geography and Biogeography, Soil Geography, and Landscape Geochemistry;

1.6.2 – Recreational, Tourism, Social, and Political Geography.

The presentation ceremony of the Council was attended by the Vice-Rector for Research, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Sirojiddin Rajabzoda; representatives of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, including the Head of the Department for Attestation in Humanities Hokimkhon Valizoda and the Chief Specialist of the Department for Attestation in Natural, Mathematical and Technical Sciences Amirsho Jafari; as well as the Scientific Secretary and members of Dissertation Council 6D.KOA-127 of the University, who delivered remarks during the event.

The establishment of this Council represents an important step toward advancing research and training highly qualified specialists in geography, earth sciences, and environmental studies.
