THE CELEBRATION OF NOWRUZ IN SOURCES ASSOCIATED WITH KING JAMSHID
 As a result of extensive scientific research, it has been established that Navruz is one of the oldest celebrations of the Tajik people. Its origins are deeply rooted in the realm of space and nature. As the findings of scholars in the field of natural sciences, particularly astronomers, reveal, throughout the year, the Sun, in its journey through the zodiac, moves from west to east. This celestial path is known as the ecliptic. The ecliptic passes through twelve constellations: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces, which are collectively known as the zodiac signs. During a year, the Sun traverses the celestial sphere from the southern hemisphere to the northern hemisphere, crossing the Earth's equator on March 21 at the vernal equinox, and from the northern hemisphere to the southern hemisphere on September 21-22 at the autumnal equinox. At these two points, the duration of day and night is equal. THE GRAND CELEBRATION OF NOWRUZ AT THE UNIVERSITY
Today, on March 18, 2025, the International Nowruz Holiday was celebrated with special grandeur at the main building of the Tajik State Pedagogical University named after Sadriddin Ayni.
The event was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Tajikistan: from the USA, France, Germany, India, Uzbekistan, China, Korea, as well as the rectors of the Tajik State University of Finance and Economics, the Islamic Institute of Tajikistan, the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, director of the International Programs Center, the university’s leadership, staff, faculty members, and students.
