At the Sadriddin Aini Tajik State Pedagogical University, an extended meeting was held under the leadership of the Vice-Rector for Research, Sirojiddin Rajabzoda, with the participation of the Head of the Department for Training Scientific and Academic Staff, Saodat Akhieva, heads of departments, first- and second-year master’s students, as well as first- and second-year PhD doctoral students.

The meeting discussed the deployment of master’s and PhD doctoral students for scientific-pedagogical and scientific-research internships.

Parviz Fayzulloev, a student of the Lyceum affiliated with the Sadriddin Aini Tajik State Pedagogical University, took part in the republican competition “Cup of the Administration of the Russian-Tajik (Slavic) University” in 10 academic subjects among 11th-grade graduates of general secondary educational institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan and won second place in the city of Dushanbe.

The competition was organized on the initiative of the administration of the Russian-Tajik (Slavic) University and aimed at identifying and supporting gifted students, strengthening cooperation between schools and higher education institutions, as well as engaging young people in the academic and educational environment.

The regular meeting of the University Scientific and Methodological Council was held on January 30, 2026, under the chairmanship of the Vice-Rector for Research, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor S. I. Rajabzoda. Four key issues were discussed.

Within the framework of implementing the instructions and guidelines of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, aimed at the study and development of foreign languages, and by order of the Rector of the Tajik State Pedagogical University, Ahliddin Ibadullozoda, an advanced training course was conducted for teachers of the Faculty of Russian Language and Literature.

The course was organized as part of the International Scientific and Practical Conference entitled “World Literature and Methods of Teaching the Russian Language in the Modern World of Innovative Technologies”, held on January 28 of the current year. A methodological and training seminar continued on January 29–30.

On January 29, 2026, the responsible unit of the Scopus-Elsevier Institutional Correction Team sent an official notification to the university. According to it, the process of registering the university as a scientific institution in the Scopus-Elsevier system has officially begun and is currently at the stage of administrative review.

All necessary documents are expected to be submitted within the next four working weeks. At this stage, the registration issue is being considered, but the process has not yet been finalized.

This initiative provides researchers and scientists with the opportunity to correctly indicate their institutional affiliation in scientific articles, publish their research results in international journals, and increase their citation and scientific visibility metrics. At the same time, this process contributes to enhancing the scientific reputation of the university and promoting the scientific achievements of the Republic of Tajikistan at the international level.

The university administration is also taking measures to ensure that the institution’s scientific journals are prepared in accordance with international standards and can be proposed in the future for inclusion in the list of Scopus-Elsevier peer-reviewed journals.
